The Willapacific Branch of the AAUW would like to thank all who made our Oct. 18 Voters’ Forum a success. First, we would like to thank Guy Glenn Jr. for the sound system. It's always so much better when you can actually hear what the speakers are saying! We would like to thank KMUN radio for promoting and recording the event. (If you missed us, listen to KMUN on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.) Thank you to the Chinook Observer for promoting the event and placing our advertising, and to the Elks for providing an excellent venue. And finally, thanks to all who attended and participated.

Wanted to say thank you to Cate Gable for picking me up (with my little Zorro), when I got lost a couple of weeks ago! She was my angel. Funny how two musicians meet like that. She is not just a good reporter, but a very nice person.
Last week I had a need to be hospitalized in Astoria and I cannot say enough good things about Columbia Memorial Hospital. The care was excellent and the food was excellent. I never dreamed that a day in the hospital could be so pleasant. My thanks to the two Kellys, Shanin, Katrina, Norm, Lyndell, Patty, Dr. Park, Dr. Smith and everyone else who looked after me.

Surfside Homeowners would like to thank all who participated in our recent planting rvent on Oct. 6. We had a lot of fun doing the planting and the raffle of the planter made $47 for our Ocean Park Food Bank.
