Think about OUR cities, OUR counties, OUR country BEFORE the “Obamanation” came to be. We all had jobs, homes, our kids had a bright future with opportunity. Life WAS good, encouraging words, business as usual, streets were in good condition, fuel prices were acceptable, you could earn a living wage, fill your tank AND take a vacation. That was 2006.
OK, fast forward. job cuts, school cuts, foreclosures, no encouraging words, businesses closing, bankruptcy abound, streets in disrepair, fuel pricing, you get it right? Do you really think Obama can fix this? I DON’T and he has proven that he could NOT in four years! Not even remotely close! I’m sure it’s beyond his intellect, after all, he was an organizer, not a budgetarian. He was a teacher, and how are teachers today? It will take YEARS to undo his damages.
NOTHING is FREE, even to Democrats. Let it be known, the NW is a magnet for liberals, hand-outs and the like. This area is SO broke, (not unlike the rest of the country) businesses can’t even function properly. Anyone who WANTS anything does not want to pay for anything…hmmm, sounds like SOCIALISM to me! I, a taxpayer, am paying out my *** just to make ends meet. You have NO idea how much healthcare really cost do you? If you own a house, try buying a second home, because that’s about how much it costs. If you have a job in the public sector, they pay obsurd amounts and you complain about $200 or $300??? I say, you must live in the “real” world BEFORE you can understand it.
Unfortunately, many will find out what “real” world amounts to when this country’s economy fails to make those payments. Be glad you have social security, medicare and the like because when the government can no longer afford it, you too will have to pay it. You’re getting a deal today, but maybe not tomorrow. I know this sounds bleak but it’s the reality. The administraton has no background in budgets and if Pres. Obama really wants to feel our pain, why doesn’t he decline his salary? As did George Washington (and others). I’m sure the salary was ‘voted’ to increase from $400k and I’m sure Obama was not is disagreement. You know, that’s the biggest problem with our government, they say what you want to hear but they are afraid to “live” like the rest of us. I would bet that the biggest problem with our deficit IS payroll for government officials.
Think about it, that includes city, county and state employees. You can check this fact on ANY state website because they are “public” employees and their salary MUST be listed. I did a study about 3 years ago and I couldn’t even add it up as my 10-key would not recognize the amount. Too many 000s you know. Anyway, when they realize there needs to be a cut, it’s gonna hurt big time! Hopefully from their pocket but my bet is that it will be from ours…yet again.
So, think about who you really want to oversee this country because the backlash could be rather painful.
