As agricultural producers in Eastern Oregon, we support Greg Walden. It is rare to find a person to serve us with such high integrity.
After spending his early years growing up on a cherry orchard in The Dalles, Greg knows and understands agriculture and natural resources. Thankfully Greg took a stand when the Department of Labor wanted to prevent our young people from working on their parent’s farms.
Greg Walden has fought against multiple regulations that simply duplicate EPA requirements already in place. These regulations are unnecessary and create more paperwork for farmers and ranchers as well as for weed and vector control
districts. The EPA even proposed to regulate dust coming from farms and gravel roads! But thankfully Rep. Walden fought for us by passing the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act.
Oregon’s agriculture is alive and well with the work of Greg Walden. His strong support of long-stalled free trade agreements to expand foreign markets for agricultural products will create new jobs.
Greg Walden is a statesman, a man of principles and you can count on him when he gives his word. His door is always open and he is only a phone call away.
